The ongoing success of Geriatric ED programs rests largely on the education of a multi-disciplinary staff directed toward the needs of the geriatric population. Sustaining senior-friendly change also requires the implementation an effective quality improvement (QI) program with the goal to collect and monitor data in a manner conducive to staff education and program success.
